YOU NEED SOMEONE
WHY SHOULD I JOIN A SMALL GROUP?
We do better at life when we are connected with a group that experiences accountability, belonging, and care. To grow spiritually you must be connected relationally. If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, you need to have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal—and HOP Small Groups are the ideal place for that. Connected people go further faster.
LISTING OF SMALL GROUPS
“Reach” is the first step in our small group School of Servanthood discipleship and leader training series. As with any journey, there is a starting point; and in your journey, with Christ, your starting point should begin with the fundamentals.
“Connect” is a membership class that introduces people to the House of Praise's vision & mission, history, core values, and statement of faith. This course will give you the opportunity to learn who we are as a small group church and how we are expanding the kingdom of God. Our goal is to connect you to local church membership and small groups where you can actively serve in ministry. Completion of “Reach” or Purple Book is a prerequisite to taking this course.
“Serve” is a leadership course designed for those who respond to the call of discipling others through small group ministry. This course prepares a disciple of Christ to be a servant leader both within the body of Christ and in the marketplace to fulfill the mandate to make disciples of all nations.
An Encounter Retreat is a weekend aimed to zero in on areas of your life to refresh, restore, and re-establish your identity in Christ. You will experience times of worship and teachings from the Word of God that are designed to help you deepen your relationship with God and lead you through times of forgiveness and healing. You will learn how to let God take your hurts, wounds, fears, doubts, and burdens, to bring you to a place of freedom and restoration.
